Phang Putroe Park

Phang Putroe Park, located in the province of Aceh Sultan Palace complex in Banda Aceh. The park was made for Queen Sultan Iskandar Muda, she called Putroe Phang which means Princess of Pahang, from Pahang, Malaysia.

In the park there is a unique building, named Gunongan. According to local belief, this building is similar to hill-hill, located in Pahang, Malaysia and the Queen, she made the request itself, which often miss their homes, Pahang, which perhaps rolling hills. Frankly when and why this building was built is not known clearly. Gunongan allegedly represents Mount Mahameru and may also be directed at the agni, the fire god in Hindu religion
